Job Summary
Interns will gain experience related to the policy and regulatory challenges facing the power and renewable energy industries in the United States. This intern will assist with research, analysis, and drafting written materials to support our publications, consulting work, and internal research initiatives. This intern will be exposed to a wide variety of issues facing the electric power sector, including emissions markets and programs, renewable energy developments, and other policy issues with industry implications.
Responsibilities
- Conducting research on industry developments, tracking and analyzing legislation, and evaluating regulatory updates (state and federal)
- Drafting materials that communicate industry developments to our clients
- Researching and updating various databases that track power plant developments
Qualifications
- Genuine interest in the electric power markets, with an emphasis on regulatory and policy issues
- Preference for a student pursuing a relevant major such as Environmental Policy, Economics, Political Science, and Public Policy
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Strong teamwork and communications skills
Additional Information
- 8-10 week paid internship, with a flexible start date in May or June 2025 (based on academic schedule)
- Four-to-five days per week (32-40 hours), with three days required in-person at our Wakefield, MA office (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday) and an option for remote work on other days
- Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without restriction; Visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position
